I started practicing yoga in 2015 and completed a 200-hours teacher training course in the same year. Following, I returned to Singapore and began to teach yoga at my friends' offices.
While I was teaching with a full-time job, I was also finding the right practice and approach to my perspective in yoga and life, and it all occurred in my first Ashtanga Yoga class. The instant healing effect of Ashtanga Yoga had helped me overcome fear and obstacles in life, whether in dealing with injuries and disbeliefs. In the year 2018, I embarked on my first trip to Mysore, India, to learn from my dearest teacher, Saraswathi Jois, and I have been returning annually for my study.
In my growth with practicing Ashtanga yoga, I aimed to be compassionate, and the essence I found within teaching yoga is we all are continually finding unity and that person who can uplift your practice. Ashtanga Yoga not only empowers me in all aspects, but it also strives me to be mindful of how yoga is a way of life.
